Each time you log into MuniciPay, you will start on the Overview page. You can navigate through the various reports using the Report shortcut or by customizing you Default page to one of our reports.

Types of Reports

We provide a number of real-time reports to help you research, reconcile, or audit your office's payment activity:

By Deposit Report

This report provides a high-level breakdown of deposits hitting your office "by batch". A batch is usually generated daily (closes midnight local to your office) and by payment type (credit card / ACH). If your office has multiple departments and you've asked us to separate deposits, you will also see individually batches for those.

By Department Report

This report provides a summary of payments broken down By Department and then By Day.

By Item Report

This report provides a summary of payments broken down by Item (not Department) and then By Day.

By User

If you collect In Person payments, this report will provide a summary of payments collected by each employee in your office and then By Day.

By Card Type

This report provides a summary of payments broken down By Card Type. For example, if you are interested in seeing the number of payments made by Visa, AMEX, etc this will provide the Summary and then By Day.

By Channel

This report provides a summary of payments broken down By Channel and then by Day. A channel can be Online, In-Person, or Over the Phone.

Printing Reports

Every "By" Report mentioned above will have the ability to Print a PDF. You should see two types of Print buttons through MuniciPay reporting near the top right of each page. This will print the current summary results on the screen:

You also have the option to print reports By Transaction and By Item. By Transaction will only output one row per payment (even if they paid multiple items) while the By Item will provide one row per item (even if it was made in the same payment). The By Item report will also include additional user input's such as Reference, Account, or Bill Number depending on your item's setup:

On certain pages, you'll see an icon to the right of each row that contains shortcuts to viewing or printing:

Exporting Reports

If you prefer, you can also Export all Summary, Transaction, or Item reports to CSV or Excel. Similar to the Print options, you will see the following buttons available throughout the "By" Reports. This will export the current summary results on the screen:

You also have the option to export reports By Item into CSV or Excel. We have included two versions of our Export - a Simple and a Detailed version. The first version will export the basic details about the item being paid including the date, item, payer, method, and amount while the detailed version will include all additional information such as all input fields, addresses, emails, etc:
