IDTECH Augusta EMV Card Reader:
A plug-and-play device, our IDTECH Augusta EMV card reader is an EMV, P2PE Compliant device to utilize with your over-the-counter option in MuniciPay. Our card readers are encrypted and programmed specifically for use with MuniciPay.
Typically, no set up is required - simply plug your card reader into a USB port on your computer, and the next time you're logged into MuniciPay at your checkout cart, you'll be ready to use your card reader.
Once you've set up a cart to process your over-the-counter transaction, you'll land on the Insert (EMV) / Swipe option by default. Enter an optional email for your payer, and Select "Connect to EMV Terminal" when you're ready to insert the card.
- Looking down upon your card reader, you'll find a silver directional image showing you which way to face the chip on your card.
- Ensuring your card is faced in the correct direction, firmly insert the chipcard into the chip-slot.
- Leave the card in the reader until you receive a response on-screen.
- While connecting to the processing network, your card reader will beep to let you know it's in process.
- Your response will appear on screen. (Success or decline.)
