Why can I not pay a current amount due on a parcel that has a prior year delinquent?

Some offices do not allow the current amount to be paid if there is a prior year due. Each individual tax office rules are different.

To check if an office allows this, click on the Office Details button --> “Info & Settings”. If it indicates "Yes" next to the setting for Block Current Year if Prior Year Balance, you cannot pay the current year. If it indicates "No" or the setting Block Current Year if Prior Year Balance is not visible, you can pay the current.
