How should I handle emails regarding PCI Compliance Status?

At times, our merchants may receive notices from our partner, CardConnect/CardPointe, regarding the completion of the PCI questionnaire. We want to assure you that we manually opt all of our merchants out of any penalty for not completing the PCI questionnaire annually. However, it is important to understand that CardConnect/CardPointe is unable to stop the email reminders as it is hardwired into their program.

 

Here are a few key points to keep in mind regarding these reminders:

 

1. Opt-Out of Penalties: Rest assured that we take care of opting our merchants out of any penalties for not completing the PCI questionnaire annually. You do not need to worry about facing any penalties for not completing the questionnaire.

 

2. Email Reminders: Despite our efforts to opt out our merchants, CardConnect/CardPointe's program continues to send email reminders for completing the PCI questionnaire. Please understand that these reminders are a result of the program's settings and are not indicative of any penalties or consequences for not completing the questionnaire.

 

We understand that receiving these reminders can be concerning, but we want to assure you that we have taken the necessary steps to prevent any penalties for not completing the PCI questionnaire.
